Essential baby clothes

Before even the birth of bébé, the clothes of the future little one count already among the préoccupations of the future parents.

.

And for good reason, we are not going to wait for bébé to start à dressing him!

It is in general towards the 5ème month of pregnancy, when one knows if it’s a little boy or little girl, that the purchase of vêtements begins. A few pajamas, a cute onesie, a bonnet… the list goes on quickly.

Fairly, if you made a list of must-have clothes for your little one, you would be more at ease about not forgetting anything. Follow the guide, here are some tips to prepare for the arrival of your baby and wait for him with all the clothes he will need.

BABY'S TROUSSEAU

It is simply a kit that groups together everything that will be useful from the arrival of bé

  • Clothes: bodysuit, pajamas, etc.
  • Sleeping and bedroom equipment: bassinet or cosy, crib, etc.
  • Consumables: diapers, wipes, infant milk, etc
  • Grooming products: cleansing milk, creme, etc.

We will focus on clothes and make a list of everything needed for the first few weeks at home. But we will do it by season. And yes, if bébé arrives in winter, or in the middle of the summer, the trousseau of clothes is not quite the same.

THE VÊTEMENTS INDISPENSABLE IF BÉBÉ ARRIVES IN TÉ

Even if it's hot, remember to cover bébé even in the summer. During the first few weeks, your little one's body temperature doesn't regulate itself. So you need to have something to dress him in, even in the early days.

  • Bodies: 7 short sleeves, 7 long sleeves (1 per day of each of the patterns).
  • Pyjamas: 7 cotton.
  • 2 sleeping bags.
  • 1 bonnet (yes, me!).
  • 5 pairs of socks.
  • Slippers (more like woolen ones).
  • 5 combi (3 long and 2 short).

As for the size, you should obviously choose 1 month for the first few weeks after birth, but quickly, your baby will be able to dress in 3 months. So you can also take a few clothes from the next size up, so you don't get caught out when your baby grows out.

This list is by no means exhaustive, but it does help to ensure that you don't forget the really essential clothes as soon as motherhood arrives.

THE ESSENTIAL CLOTHES FOR YOUR CHILD IN WINTER

Cold weather means we're going to have to cover bé properly in the winter. Remember this simple trick: your child needs to wear one more layer of clothing than you.

So you need to be prepared and make sure your child doesn't miss out on anything. So the following list can be followed.

  • 7 long sleeve bodysuits.
  • 5 à 7 pajamas.
  • <1 jumpsuit. <1 coat.
  • 2 or 3 sleeping bags: prerecorded models at the start.
  • 2 or 3 woolen hats.
  • One or Two pairs of socks.
  • One or Two pairs of tights (Size 3 months).
  • Well obviously, we will add a good blanket for outings or quiet moments, as well as everything needed for your little one to sleep well warm.

The accessories à not to forget

While we are listing clothes, it may be useful to list the textile accessories that will also be ready from the birth.

And as winter, they will be very useful to protect and care for baby.

  • A bath cape: just out of the water, bébé can be wrapped up comfortably. It's always cold when a baby gets out of the bath!
  • Bibs: these aren't really clothes, but they are a must. Take 7, one per day, to ensure a rotation between washes.
  • A waterproof outfit: even if it is sheltered, bé may get a few drops when it rains. A jacket or a waterproof suit will be perfect.

With these few complementary accessories, bébé should be perfectly protected.

We summarize

Simply see one item of each kind per day for the early days (onesie, pajamas).

  • Depending on the season, go for the long sleeve or short sleeve option.
  • Présee two sleeping bags regardless of the season. The thickness will obviously change to better protect the baby in winter.
  • Présee at least 2 hats, and this is true regardless of the season.
  • See socks to protect his feet when they are not warm, in his turbulette.

Once again, this is the essential clothing, but you will quickly see that you can move on to complete outfits from his 3 months or so.

Privilege cotton as much as possible, especially for his onesies and pajamas. Cotton breathes and protects well.

Finally, our last piece of advice is to wash this laundry with a hypoallergenic detergent obviously, and especially not to hurry up à make regular rolls. You'll see, it's crazy what a bébé gets dirty ????

All that remains is for you to put together your child’s birth trousseau. You will see, it’s a game that you will quickly take a liking to.
